Craft Explorer!

Finished the 2nd glove of my pair of flaming fingerless gloves, I love the colour but I can't claim to have chosen it - it was selected by my mini fairy.

Would love to make gloves for smaller peoples... But the smaller loom I brought (Clover) has completely smooth prongs and works for making little pretties (like flowers and stuff) but not really suitable for loom knitting in the same way... Anyone help?

Started a woolly hat (in the same colours) but idly thinking about the next project... Maybe some socks?  So due some more "how to" video hunting I think.  I rather like the freedom of this self-taught stuff, it's a bit like being a craft explorer!

Slightly different location as having a few days away before back to work.  Will be teaching on the topic of "Walk in the Woods", so bugs, owls, plants etc.

So will be on the lookout for themed crafts too!

Enjoying the Easter holiday!

Despite the fact that I'm spending much time still working on completing my M ed. (hand in date start of June) I am enjoying a slightly more flexible work schedule.  This allows for more crafting time which I just love.  (Do check out HomeMadeFairy on etsy where I'll place those bits I have to sell... Though many are given as gifts so don't get to the shop).

Right now I'm working on a pair of flame coloured fingerless gloves on my round loom. 1 is done...

As you can see, and making good headway on the next!

But generally it's rather pleasurable to sit with my basket of wool and various implements (yes, it's a laundry basket... Don't worry, I do have another... I am a homemade but CLEAN fairy!

Here's my basket of woolly goodness...

My other creative moment today (ably assisted by the mini fairy) was to make some homemade pizza, we used our bread maker to mix and rise the dough then added lots of lovely toppings... Including "monsterrella" cheese!  The bread maker is maybe on its last legs and I've been idly browsing sites to find a new one - but today it did the job (phew!  Otherwise I could have a mini fairy mutiny on my hands!).

Here's the fruits of our labour (pre-cooking... Didn't last long enough to photograph after cooking!)

So, let your creative juices flow (but don't drool on the screen!)
